Are you ready to finally organize your laundry room? Laundry rooms tend to get quickly cluttered with piles of clothes and items that need to be stored. Organizing might be something you’ve been putting off because you aren’t sure where to start, so here are some tips that will help you organize once and for all.
Organize With Hooks And Rods
A great way to organize just about everything is using hooks and rods. Hang up everything you can! Using hooks to hang brooms, mops, and gloves is a good way to get these items off the ground and out of the way. You can also use the hooks to hang storage bags for old cleaning rags and other small cleaning items.
An excellent way to organize dress shirts and other items is to use a hanging rod. Hanging up clothes to dry is a helpful way to organize small rooms, and it also saves energy! Pull the room together with a curtain rod with stylish curtains to hide your washer and dryer and give it a clean, organized look.
Baskets & Cabinets Galore
Baskets are a great way to organize small laundry rooms that have limited shelf space and cabinets. Wicker or canvas baskets are especially useful to organize your sorted clothes. If you don’t have a lot of shelf space, you can use the baskets to store your cleaning products as well.
If you have space above the washer and dryer, cabinets are an excellent way to organize the laundry room. Open faced or not, cabinets work wonders since they are easy to reach and, best of all, each item has its place. Make it a rule to put each item back in its respective spot to maintain organization and cleanliness.
If your laundry room has enough space, consider installing a storage island. This can be as simple as a counter with either open-faced or closed cabinets underneath. You could also install a counter against the wall and store a collapsible table underneath for folding purposes.
Organizing a room may take a while now, but it will save you stress and cleanup time later. As you organize your laundry room and the rest of your home, it’s also a good time to consider getting your carpets professionally cleaned. Call McGeorge Brothers ChemDry of Kansas City at 816-533-4377.
